How Does Autopom Warranty Work?

Normally car manufacturers attach a certain auto warranty period to your purchase. However, once that vehicle protection warranty period expires, you’re on your own. That’s where Autopom comes in. 

The Autopom process is quite simple. You can either call them or register online for a free quote. They’ll then suggest the best vehicle protection plan for you after a consultation and review process. 

In addition, Autopom requires you to travel at least 1,000 miles and wait 30 days before making your first claim. You can then visit any licensed facility in the U.S or Canada and present your Autopom membership details for them to review your extended warranty claim. 

Keep in mind that Autopom is not a direct protection provider, rather a broker/seller. Their administrators are Mercury Insurance Group, Enterprise Financial Group, Royal Administration and United Car Care.

Trip Interruption Reimbursement – Some of their plans qualify you for a reimbursement of your unused trip costs if your trip was interrupted due to car trouble.

At the time of Writing, you’ll need to get a quote from Autopom and they’ll recommend the best vehicle protection plans and costs for you based on the following categories. 

Exclusionary (Full Coverage) – This plan extends coverage to all mechanical and electrical components of your car, unless they don’t cover a specific part. Autopom says it’s the most comprehensive plan and the most comparable to the manufacturer’s car warranty. 

High Level – This plan covers an extensive list of named components in the following major systems:

Autopom Extended Auto Warranty Complaints

Just like any other business, Autopom is bound to have a couple of drawbacks about their service. We’ve listed them in this next section, and we’ll leave it up to you to determine whether they are deal breakers or not. 

They may not meet your expectations – Based on a few complaints we came across by their customers, it seems Autopom may respond to your extended vehicle insurance claim in unexpected ways. Some customers got partial reimbursements, while others were referred to the administrator and obligor of their contract, as Autopom is just a broker/seller. 

Claim Denied! – Some customers say they were denied reimbursement after further review by Autopom agents. Most cases seem to be as a result of the review report by Autopom differing from the customers’ mechanic report.
