GeekBuying Shipping
GeekBuying ships worldwide for free if you use standard shipping. But these guys don’t say off the bat how much expedited and rush shipping costs, you’ll find out while checking out. Either way, standard shipping takes 10-30 days while express shipping takes 3-5 days or longer depending on where you are ordering from
Sounds too long a wait? You have the option of shopping on Amazon.com where you get FREE Guaranteed 1-2 day Amazon Prime Delivery.
They also say they have warehouses in Italy, Germany and Thailand. But most of these items are shipped from China and Hong Kong via either EMS, or DHL or TNT.
GeekBuying Refund & Return Policy
You are probably wondering how safe your money is if things don’t go as planned. Well GeekBuying will refund you full price excluding shipping if the item was dead on arrival or broke down within the first month of use. If you just don’t like the item you have two days to ask for a refund or replacement, no questions asked.
But you’ll have to first explain what the deal is with photos to back up your story, and once you ship the item back to them, you’ll get your money back. They say that may take between 48 hours and 14 days depending on the payment method you used. You can read all about that here.
GeekBuying Customer Service
If you want to reach out to customer service you can send them a text via Live Chat on the website Monday through Friday from 9:00-18:30 or 20:30-3:30 (GMT+8). You can also call them on +86-(0)755-23943772 Monday through Friday 9:00-18:30 (GMT+8). And finally you can email them on service_aftersale@geekbuying.com. They say you’ll get a word back within 48 hours.
GeekBuying Coupons or Promo Codes
There are all sorts of deals and offers on the website, but it’s no guarantee you’ll always land on one at any time. If you are all about saving money while shopping online, check out Amazon.com which has some of the best deals online. Rakuten.com is also a great place to get coupons and cash-back and on shopping. You can also visit Swagbucks.com which allows you to earn money and free gift cards that you can use to shop at GeekBuying or any other web store you prefer.
GeekBuying Complaints
I know this is the part of the review you’re most interested in. well, there are a couple of red flags about this company we thought you’re better off knowing about.
You get what you pay for
A good number of customers say the quality of products they sell are not anything close to what’s advertised. Chances are what you order, mostly electronics and smartphones may break down within the first year of purchase. The case applies no matter how cheap or expensive the thing was.
Awful customer service
GeekBuying customer service really needs to clean up its act. People are saying they take forever to get back to you, not within 48 hours as promised. Others claim its hard getting through to them via phone. Perhaps they can’t keep up with the mad volume, or they just don’t care what happens once they make the sale.
Slow shipping
You may have to wait for months to get your product, especially if there’s no GeekBuying warehouse in the country you’re ordering from. Actually a few customers say they never got their order at all. The general opinion is that just don’t expect to get your stuff within a few days of ordering.
But there’s always Amazon.com if you prefer fast shipments. You can use the FREE Guaranteed Amazon Prime Delivery and get your order in 1-2 days.
No BBB Profile
If you rely on the Better Business Bureau, GeekBuying doesn’t have a listing at the time of this review. Keep in mind they have been around for more than a decade.
GeekBuying Alternatives
After reading the complaints, I wouldn’t blame you if you decided against GeekBuying. If you just hate slow shipping you can always use Amazon’s FREE Guaranteed 1-2 Day Amazon Prime Delivery. You can also shop online using Swagbucks.com where you earn money and gift cards that you can use to shop anywhere you like, online or offline.
Is GeekBuying Safe?
Well it that seems to vary from customer to customer. Most customers shopped seamlessly on the website. However, the complaints about slow shipping, shoddy products and a lack of a BBB profile may give you pause.
If that's the case, I would recommend Amazon.com which is actually faster with the FREE Guaranteed 1-2 Day Amazon Prime Delivery and their customer service doesn’t suck. And if you like cash back and coupons, you’ll love what they have going on at Rakuten.com You can even earn real money while shopping, or basically doing the things you normally do online, like watching videos, playing games and visiting websites at SwagBucks.com. So that may be something to consider.
Anyway, that’s my two cents about GeekBuying. Feel free to chime in your thoughts on the comments section below. If you have any questions, you can visit their FAQs page here. If you like our GeekBuying review, you can check out more reviews on popular online stores here.
Until next time

GeekBuying Review
Summary
GeekBuying has been one of the go-to stores for electronic gadgets China. But if what real customers have to say about the company is anything to go by, you may want to read the shocking complaints in our GeekBuying review.
Geekbuying; A clearing house for used returned products that are sold as new!!
I bought a Hubsan Zino drone. When I received the drone, It was clearly a “used” drone that had been returned for problems. The box had been opened, one of the batteries had scratches on the bottom of it. The 4K camera quality is a joke, the left side of picture was clear, but the right side was blurry. Probably why it was sent back in the first place. I upgraded the firmware on the drone to see if that would make a difference. But the camera quality is still the same; crap! They told me that if I returned the drone that they would replace it, but returning it will cost me $77.00. I already paid $360.00 and can’t afford to waist anymore money on a used piece of junk! They sold me a “used” drone with a “faulty” camera and then want me to pay another $77.00 to get a the “new” drone, something that they should have sent me in the first place. I can’t trust that they won’t send me another used product. They got me between a rock and a hard place. Without a good camera the drone is useless; it is a piece of Junk!!! And to make matters worse, because the box was opened before I received the product, Hubsan tells me the drone has no warranty. Geekbuying has been nothing but a rip off for me, a waste of time, and a waste of hard earned money. As it stands, it looks like I’m stuck with a “used” drone with a faulty camera. Buyer beware!
Six weeks later: I have received all but $77.00 back from this nightmare of a purchase. This company really likes to make people suffer. They enjoy screwing with dissatisfied customers by making them jump through hoops and make them wait for their money for no reason at all. They promised to refund all of my money. That didn’t happen.
Worst company in the world!! A clearing house for used returned products that are sold as new!!! Worst online purchase experience ever!!!
I knew that these people were going to rip me off. Geekbuying is nothing but a company of thieves. They deliberately lied to me when they said they would pay for the return of the product and then they cheated me out of the money. I’m going to expose these people on youtube and show the world how they con people into buying used broken products and then steal their money!!! Lies, all lies, nothing but lies!!!!
Terrible Site
My order – 5175167 never came since I first ordered from their site last April 5. There were about 5-6 tickets created to follow up the order status. All these tickets were replied with where the item was (pending in KL,Lumpur) and to wait. All messages were like robotic replies (same replies) with no strong customer support. Sure, there’s a pandemic, but my orders from other sites overseas and even farther from the head office of Geekbuying in June have all arrived. Very weak customer support. Please do yourself a favor of NOT purchasing from this site. Unless you want to be transacting to a WALL with no concern for your orders. By the way, my credit card was already charged and paid for but I still don’t have the item. Not so cool right?
