The liquid form of apple cider vinegar in its organic state contains what is known as “the mother”. This is a sediment of enzymes and acetic bacteria that provides a wide range of health benefits. Apple cider vinegar has so many benefits. I know someone who takes it to lose weight and swears by it. I had no idea it comes in pill form. That’s good to know because I’m not likely to take things that taste bad. Thank you for providing us with that option.
You’re welcome Shelly. I’m glad to hear it works for your friend.
I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in water in the morning and evening. I don’t see any weight loss benefits, but I believe that it improves my immune system and overall health. I like it because it’s all natural, so I don’t feel like I’m ingesting any toxins into my body.
I don’t think I would ever take the pill form since it is processed and isn’t in a natural form like liquid organic apple cider vinegar. I enjoyed your review on all the products, including the pros and cons!
Hey Jen, Thanks for sharing your experience. Well it’s good to hear it had other health benefits for you.
Hi Eddy,
I need to lose weight and I have been wondering about which diet I should start.
I now know much more about the Apple Cider Vinegar diet thanks to your website. I noticed that there’s not much information about the success of the diet. Can you recommend a diet that has proven results?
I’ll be asking my doctor what he thinks about it. It looks easy enough to use.
Thanks for the info, Robert
You’re welcome Robert. The only proven way to lose weight that has worked for me is to eat less, cut down my sugar intake, drink more water and exercise. But that’s what I’ve done to lose weight. There are FDA approved weight loss drugs like alli weight loss that seem to work well for people. So you may want to consider that.
I had an old room mate that used to drink apple cider vinegar all the time, I’m not sure how he could stomach the smell to be honest! However, I started to notice that he would also drink it whenever he was feeling sick with a cold or what not. Would you say that it can also help with common sicknesses instead of constantly running to get OTC medicines?
I don’t know if it helps with a common cold. But there does seem to be a lot of health benefits from what people claim. I would still stick to my OTC medicines if I had a cold though. But that’s just me.
I’ve heard about the benefits of apple cider vinegar for your skin before. In fact my roommate in college would dab a cotton ball in it and wipe it on her face before bed and I thought I was going to vomit from the smell every night. But she did have really clear skin. It’s interesting that there have been people that have lost weight by using it. I also didn’t know there were pill forms of it to take instead of just the liquid.
It’s so interesting to hear how your roommate used this stuff. It seems like folks are all using it for different reasons and ways. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been hearing about the benefits of apple cider vinegar this year and am now curious. I stumbled across this article doing a little bit of research so thank you for the information it’ll save me some time.
My girlfriend uses it on her skin can you let me know if this is the same stuff you’d drink or would I buy a specific type to drink?
I don’t know which one your girlfriend is using so I couldn’t say. I would just read the label to see if it’s safe to eat or not.
Hey Eddy,
Thanks for the info. I thought this stuff only came in liquid form, pretty cool for those who can’t stomach the taste.
I myself drink it every day(about 2 tablespoons) but diluted in water.I also add in lemon, cinnamon, Himalayan salt, ginger, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. It’s like my super tea and it tastes awesome. I don’t do it to lose weight though, just for the immune system and overall health benefits.
You’re welcome. Thanks for sharing your recipe for how you use apple cider vinegar.
The problem for me, is that most every site that reviews these supplements and provides a list on which is best, invariably has links to AMAZON. Why? Why not a link to the manufacturer’s site or no link at all? Of course the “reviewing” site is most definitely receiving lick-backs from Amazon, which makes me take the reviews much less seriously. The other thing, is that no sites really agree. There is NO (with maybe one or two exceptions depending on the supplement), clear-cut winner in terms of which supplement is best, and yes, while people’s choices vary, there should be a general consensus as to what stands out, overall. I don’t even know why I search for “bests” anymore.
Yes, people that create sites are in the business of supporting themselves. We all have bills to pay. It doesn’t mean the information is any less useful or helpful. By that argument we shouldn’t watch any tv, read newspapers or magazines which are all supported by some form of advertisements.
Most people find reviews very useful. I know I do regardless if folks are linking to products that make them money. If it’s useful information and giving me what I want then I’m good. Fortunately we live in an age of the internet where you can cross reference different resources to make a decision. And hopefully you’re doing that.
