Fabletics Review: Is It A Legit Fashion Store or A Scam?

This blog is supported by sponsors.

Let's face it, sometimes we buy things based on a celebrity endorsement. Well, if you love buying what movie stars sell, you’ve probably heard of Kate Hudson’s Fabletics. But you perhaps want to know whether what she’s selling is legit, maybe why you’re going through a couple of Fabletics reviews.

Well, we have everything you need to know, including what they keep under wraps. So, without further ado, let’s dig in, shall we?

What is Fabletics?

Fabletics.com is an online subscription-based retailer that primarily sells men’s and women’s sportswear, footwear and fitness clothing and accessories. Fabletics was founded by businessmen Adam Goldenberg and Don Ressler, together with American actress Kate Hudson. The company has been around since July 2013, with headquarters in El Segundo, California.

How Fabletics Membership Works

In a nutshell, you have two options when you choose to shop on Fabletics. You can either shop and check out the normal way as a guest, or sign up and subscribe for VIP membership that will cost you $49.95 every month.

But here’s the deal. You can choose to “skip a month” if you don’t want to be charged for that month, but you have to do that between the 1st and the 5th.

If you don’t “skip” they’ll charge your credit card $49.95 on the 6th of every month. You can use the $49.95 as credit to spend or save. Either way, they claim VIP members get cheaper clothing, discounts and exclusive deals.

Fabletics Prices

Apparently its true VIP members pay half of what regulars pay. But let’s take a closer look at a few examples.

Fitness leggings, shorts and yoga pants average $50 each, but you can get them for $24 as a VIP member. Tops and sports bras also average $50 a pop for regular shoppers, but that immediately gets slashed to half-price for VIPs.

Sneakers average $100 for regulars, while VIPs get them at half price.

Fabletics Refund & Return Policy

You’re probably wondering what would happen if you’re not happy with what they send you after you spend. Fabletics provides a 30-day time frame for returns, as long as the item is unused or unworn and original tags are intact.

They say if you are ordering from the US and Canada, they offer three return options free of charge. You can either get store credit, ask for a refund or exchange for another item.

However if you ordered from non-contiguous states including Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and APO/FPO boxes, you’ll pay $9 for return shipping.

If you ordered from Australia, you can either return the item for a refund or store credit. They don’t accept exchanges, but you can return the item and pick another one. Either way return shipping is free.

To return an item, you can log in to your account, go to “order details” and request that they email you a return label.

You can also call them on +1-844-322-5384 9AM – 9PM EST if you’re in the US or +1-844-833-6220 9AM – 9PM EST if you’re in Canada or just hit them up via live chat.

They claim refunds take an average 5-7 days to credit, depending on the payment option you used, and the bank itself.

What Types of Payments Does Fabletics Accept?

Fabletics only accepts credit card payments.

Fabletics Shipping

The company ships to the US, Canada and Australia. That said, they ship orders above $49.95 to the 48 contiguous states for free.

Otherwise it costs a flat rate of $4.95 for standard shipping that takes up to 10 business days including processing time. Well, you can avoid all that and shop on Amazon.com and still get FREE guaranteed two-day Amazon Prime delivery.

Rush shipping costs $8.95 for local orders. Non-contiguous states, Canada and Australia are not included under rush shipping. You can view their international shipping rates on their full shipping chart here.

Once you place your order, they will send you a tracking number a day or two after your order has shipped.

You can then follow up on your order through your account on the website. They say local orders can take longer than 10 days to arrive. Shipments to Australia, non-contiguous states and Canada may take up to a month, damn!

Fabletics Customer Service

If you’re in the US, you can contact Fabletics US Member Services at +1-844-322-5384 24/7. If you’re in Canada, you can use +1-844-833-6220 and if you’re in Australia, use +61-1800-668-512. They say they are available 24/7. You can also contact them through Live Chat 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM EST.

Fabletics Gift Cards, Coupons or Promo Codes

Fabletics coupons, promo codes and discounts pop up from time to time while shopping. You can also find great discounts, coupons and cash back on sites like Ebates.com. They sell gift cards on the website for $50, up to $300 which are redeemable for store credit.

Did you know you can earn cash and free gift cards on Swagbucks.com just by doing what you already do online like watching videos and visiting websites? You can then use that cash or gift cards to shop at Fabletics. Or you can shop at Amazon.com for similar clothing and pricing.

Fabletics Complaints

I know this is the part of the review you’re probably most interested in. So let's get into some of the things that may give you pause.

The quality is inconsistent

Some customers say you’re never really sure if the leggings will last through their first work-out session. Others say you might unwillingly pick something cheap, just to spend the $49.95 only to realize you get what you paid for. The quality is just too inconsistent to guarantee satisfaction every time you order.

One size doesn’t fit all

The sizing on their chart is incorrect, according to some members. Since some offers require you to pair up a top and a bottom, the bra might fit perfectly but the leggings could be either too long, too short or too big.

That seems to be the general opinion across a good number of complaints we came by. Just don’t fall for the photos you see while shopping.

Don't bother with live-chat

It seems their live chat is a big waiting game. Some members claim you can wait for hours for your big moment. Others say it’s far much easier to contact them on phone directly.

So, don’t waste your time on what’s supposed to be the easier, more popular way to communicate with the urban folk.

Fabletics Alternatives

If you don’t feel comfortable with what they have going on at Fabletics, it’s only logical that you would want to try out other stores.

You can always shop on Ebates.com or  Amazon.com for quality stuff at affordable prices from verified sellers and also get FREE guaranteed Amazon Prime delivery.

Is Fabletics Safe?

In my opinion, Fabletics is safe. But the quality is not always right, and sometimes they’ll send you something that doesn’t fit. However they have an A+ BBB rating rating which may be comforting.

That said there are other trusted and proven options like Amazon.com where you have free 1-2 day shipping. So you can consider them if anything you read about Fabletics makes you uncomfortable.

You can check if you can earn free Fabletics gift cards doing what you already do online like watching videos and visiting websites at Swagbucks.com. Worth a try, right?

Well, that’s my two cents about Fabletics.com. If you have any question about Fabletics, you can visit their FAQ section here. But hey, we would love to know of your experience with Fabletics or any other online retail store in the comments section below!

By the way we've written other reviews about online stores here that you may want to check out if you enjoyed this one.

Until next time
