How Does ScriptSave WellRx Work?

So WellRx basically negotiates lower prices of prescription medicine with pharmaceutical companies and passes over the savings to us. To use the service, all you have to do is use their pill identifier tool to look up the price of your medicine and compare it with what your insurance offers. 

If ScriptSave offers a lower price, you can text, print, email or download your savings card to your phone. You’ll then show the card to the pharmacy near you to get your discount. They offer discounts on both brand and generic prescriptions, and you can save up to 80% at more than 65,000 pharmacies nationwide.

Pill Identifier – The search tool enables you to look up your drug by location, form, quantity, strength and dosage. The results will show the expected saving at pharmacies nearby. 

Mobile App – You can also use their free app that’s closely similar to the desktop version. It’s available on both iOS and Android. 

Ask a Pharmacist – If you need assistance with your prescription, you can use this free service to talk to a pharmacist. You can reach out via 1-866-268-2611, 8am to 5pm MST.

ScriptSave WellRx Complaints

There are definitely good things going on with WellRx. Unfortunately, no company is perfect. So feel free to read what’s bad and ugly about the company and determine for yourself whether it’s worthwhile. 

You may unknowingly pay more – Some users say they used ScriptSave WellRx’s discount card only to realize later they paid more than the drug’s retail price. So it’s always good practice to check out offers from other services such as National Drug Card or GoodRx. 

You can’t use it together with your insurance – Unfortunately you can’t combine your insurance savings with WellRx to save some more. But this is the norm across all prescription savings services.

Pharmacies may decline your card – It’s no guarantee that the pharmacy you select will follow through with the offer. WellRx says you should let them know in case this happens, but it can be really inconveniencing especially if you had to travel some distance to get your prescription. 

Is ScriptSave WellRx A Legit Company?

ScriptSave checks all the boxes for a legit company. There are no serious red flags to suggest the contrary. Users also seem to love their efficient customer service, and more often than not you’ll get to save.
