TinyDeal Review: A Safe Gadgets Store or A Scam?

This blog is supported by sponsors.

Online shopping is here to stay, no matter how crazy it may seem sometimes, with chances of falling for a scam increasing every damn day. You probably realize this which is why you're going through a couple of TinyDeal reviews with a skeptical eye. I don’t blame you.

Well that’s why we cut through the noise and laid out everything you need to know in our TinyDeal review. Unfortunately, some of it is shocking, so to be safe, I’ll strongly suggest you read this review carefully. You’ve been warned!

What is TinyDeal?

TinyDeal.com is an ecommerce store that claims to sell inexpensive electronics, computers and their accessories, smart devices and beauty products online. The company was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Hong Kong, but we don’t know the person(s) behind the store at this time.

TinyDeal Prices

Apparently TinyDeal is famous for one thing; cheap stuff. But are they, really? Let’s take a look at a few examples.

Electronics like sound systems, digital cameras, TVs and the like sell for anywhere between $20 and $500, while hobby toys and video game equipment start at $5 onwards. Computer accessories like USB flash drives and wireless keyboards go for as little as $2. Car accessories including jumper cables, LED lights and stereos will set you back $10 on average.

In the fashion section, Women’s clothing average $10, same as men’s clothing and other fashion apparel. You can find shoes for as little as $5 or less, while accessories, hair and beauty products all in the $1-$20 range.

If you want to spice things up in the bedroom with a little help, lol, there’s an adult section where you’ll find all sorts of “toys” and related products for as little as $2.

TinyDeal Refund & Return Policy

Before you think about shopping at TinyDeal.com you might want to be familiar with their refund and returns policy, just in case something goes wrong. They’ll accept your return if the item is defective, it arrived damaged or if some parts are missing. They also take back wrongly packaged goods. However, if you attempt to repair an item, or it got damaged due to negligence on your part, consider your warranty void.

They claim you get free return shipping if you contact them by going here within 30 days of receiving your order. Otherwise you’ll have to spend more money to return the item.

What Types of Payments Does TinyDeal Accept?

At the time of this review, you can pay at TinyDeal.com using the following options:

  • PayPal
  • MasterCard/Visa
  • Web Money
  • Qiwi

TinyDeal Shipping

TinyDeal claims they ship worldwide for free after a 2 day processing period. Free shipping takes 7-25 days. You can also use standard shipping and your order may arrive in 9-12 days, but nothing’s guaranteed. Damn! Well, you can avoid all that and shop for similar items on Amazon.com and still get FREE guaranteed two-day Amazon Prime delivery.

In any case, once you place your order, they will send you a tracking number a day or two after your order leaves their warehouse. You can then follow up through the website. They don't say how much expedited shipping costs, but it takes 3-5 working days after the 2 days processing time. You can find out more about shipping and returns here.

TinyDeal Customer Service

If you want to contact customer service, they claim they’re available from 8:30AM to 6:00PM (GMT+8 Hong Kong time) Monday to Saturday. You’ll have to create an account with your email to get through to them by filling out a web form. It’s not clear how long they take to respond though.

TinyDeal Coupons or Promo Codes

You can always hunt for TinyDeal coupons and promo codes around the web. But an even better a way to get discounts is to use Swagbucks.com which allows you to earn free cash or gift cards for things that you do online. You can use that cash or gift cards to shop at TinyDeal. Or you can shop at Amazon.com for similar items as well. Rakuten.com is another great way to get discounts and deals while shopping online.

TinyDeal Complaints

Well we’ve talked about all the basics of this store. So let's dive into the shocking complaints against TinyDeal.

You Get What You Pay For!

A good number of customers say most of the items they bought stopped working after a few weeks of use. Most items feel cheap, especially those with funny-sounding brand names. Other customers ordered knock-offs without even realizing it. So the products may be cheap but keep in mind you get what you pay for!

Orders get lost all the time

So it seems misplaced and lost orders is just another day in the office for these guys. Some people waited months for their orders, only to realize that they were never to receive what they ordered in the first place. In other cases, the order details just vanished with no explanation as to why. I’ll be damned!

Terrible customer service

I’m sure you’re already getting the feeling that contacting customer service when shit hits the fan is a stretch. Well, you’re damn right. They’ll spin you around with request for photo and video evidence. Customers say they’ll look for just about any reason to dismiss your claim.

No BBB Rating

If you believe in what the Better Business Bureau is all about, you may want to know that TinyDeal is not listed with the BBB at the time of this review.

TinyDeal Alternatives

Perhaps you can’t shake off the feeling that TinyDeal may not be safe based on what you’ve read. That said, it’s only logical that you would want to try out other stores. You can always shop at Amazon.com for quality stuff at affordable prices from verified sellers and also get FREE guaranteed Amazon Prime delivery.

If you love discounts and offers, you can use Rakuten.com to get amazing deals on quality items. Wanna use the internet to make money and earn free shopping gift cards? SwagBucks.com pays you to visit websites, play games, watch videos and more. You can then use what you earn to shop anywhere on the web.

Is TinyDeal Safe?

In my opinion, I would probably avoid TinyDeal.com. They seriously do close to nothing to respond to the thousands of negative complaints about them. Again, most of the information that would make you believe that your money is safe appears vague. Again, the items may look shiny and are obviously cheap, but they’ll probably end up in the trash after a few weeks of use.

Fortunately, there are other trusted and reliable options like Amazon.com where you have free 1-2 day shipping. So you can avoid some of the long ass complaints of TinyDeal. And if you really want to get a discount or get paid for shopping you may want to consider using Rakuten.com or joining Swagbucks.com.

So you have options either way. Well, that’s my two cents about TinyDeal.com. If you have any question about TinyDeal, you can visit their FAQ section here. But hey, we would love to hear from you on the comments section below especially if you know of a scam we should avoid.

Until next time
