Online shopping can be a gamble these days, with shady stores popping up everyday. That’s why it’s important that you do your research. I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir and I’m assuming that’s why you’re checking out TMart reviews online.
Well, we scoured the web to find out what’s what with the store, and some of it may shock you. I don’t want to scare you but as a warning, you may want to read this TMart review carefully.
What is TMart?
TMart found online at TMart.com is a online store that primarily sells inexpensive smart gadgets, toys, electronics and fashion apparel. The company was founded by Cheryl Truckor in 2009. They ship their products from warehouses in the US, UK and China, although they are headquartered at Flat/RM 1502, Easey Commercial Building, 253-261 Hennessy Road, WanChai, HK
TMart claims you don’t have to spend a fortune to buy cool stuff from them. How true is that? Let’s check out their prices.
Electronics, computer parts, hobby toys and their accessories range from $5-$200, while smartphones, video games and car accessories sell for anywhere between $10 and $300. Home appliances, gardening and decor products fall within the $10 and $500 range. Men’s and women’s clothing start at $1 going all the way to $500, the same goes for shoes and accessories.
TMart Payment Options
You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Discover, American Express, BillMeLater and DinersClub cards at the time of this review.
TMart claims they ship worldwide for free, unless you opt for faster shipping where you’ll pay a premium depending on the courier service you choose. They use FeDex, DHL and UPS shipping methods. Apparently they have warehouses in the US, China and the UK.
For instance, free shipping from their US warehouse to anywhere in the US takes 2-7 business days depending on location. If you opt for faster shipping, they use the courier service’s rates to tell you how much shipping will cost. You’ll have the option of choosing your courier service, shipping method and your preferred delivery time before paying for the order. You can read all about their shipping policy here.
But why go through all that and you can simply shop for similar items on Amazon.com and get them faster with the FREE Guaranteed 1-2 Day Amazon Prime Delivery? You can also find great deals on sites like Rakuten.com. But it’s all up to you in the end.
TMart Refund & Return Policy
TMart claims you have 90 days to return an item if you’re not happy with the order for a full refund. For US customers, you can request for a return shipping label from customer service. Other customers may get a 30% reimbursement of the price of the item, to a maximum of $40 USD. But they only replace broken, defective and dead on arrival products returned within 90 days.
Lingerie items, disposable and clearance sale items that have been used do not qualify for a return or exchange, unless it’s a quality issue. But you’ll have 45 days from the shipment date to let them know.
You can read more on returns and exchanges here.
TMart Customer Service
It looks like there are two ways to contact customer service. You can either file a ticket or find them on live chat between 23:00 and 14:00 UTC. They claim they respond to tickets within 24 hours, except for the major holidays.
TMart Coupons or Promo Codes
There are tons of places on the internet where you can get TMart coupons and promo codes. But be careful, not everywhere’s safe.
That said, you want to get legit discounts, coupons and offers. You can check out sites like Rakuten.com which can provide you cashback, rebates, coupons or discounts on similar items you would find on TMart. You can also check out Swagbucks.com that helps you earn cash and gift cards for things you already do online. Again, you can also earn cashback for shopping through their site.
At the end of the day, you can always count on trusted online retailers like Amazon.com that has all sorts of discounts, offers and benefits like FREE Guaranteed 1-2 Day Amazon Prime Delivery. Combining these deals allow you to shop affordably online.
Well here is the part of the review you’ve all be waiting for. It’s where we tell you the ugly about TMart so you can decide whether the company is safe or a scam.
You don’t always get what you expect
The most common complaint about TMart is the quality of their products. Most items, especially electronics, look great on the website, but they stop working after a few weeks of use. Customers say it doesn’t make sense returning the item as the cost of shipping the item back can be more than the item’s price. Fortunately you don’t have to worry about that when you shop on Amazon.com.
Unreliable customer service
Don’t order on TMart thinking you’ll get your problem fixed if something goes wrong. To begin with, they don’t have a phone number you can call to get instant feedback. Their live chat is always offline even during office hours. Some say they reached out via email by filing a ticket, but the response was unhelpful. Others say the English of the reps is nearly impossible to understand.
I know some of ya’ll swear by the Better Business Bureau ratings . Well TMart has an F rating at the time of this review. Ouch!
Given some of the complaints listed above, I don’t blame you for looking into other options. Fortunately Amazon.com has reliable customer support. Furthermore it is a great place to get quality items at an affordable price. You can also find great deals including cashback, discounts and rebates on a site like Rakuten.com. You can also make your time online count by joining SwagBucks.com where you earn money doing the things you do online, besides earning cashback when you shop through the website.
Is TMart Legit or a Scam?
I wouldn’t call TMart a straight-out scam, most shoppers were happy with their purchase. But their customer service is questionable, and most items are cheaply made by an unknown company in China. But now you know what you’ll be getting into when you shop on TMart.
In any case, you don’t have to compromise on quality when shopping for affordable items online. You can land amazing deals on the same things you would find on TMart at sites like Rakuten.com and Amazon.com that offers you FREE Guaranteed 1-2 Day Amazon Prime Delivery. If you’re looking for another way to save money while shopping, you can earn free cash and gift cards doing what you already do online at a site like SwagBucks.com. Remember, these rewards can be used to shop anywhere online, including TMart.
Anyway, that’s my opinion on TMart. Do you have your feedback about this or any other company? Feel free to share on the comments section below. If you still have questions about the store, you can visit their help center.
