What is TomTop?
TomTop.com is a company and online store that sells eCommerce products including electronics, fashion apparel, beauty products, recreational items and accessories. The company was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, although we don’t know who owns the company at this time.

TomTop claims they rule the cross-border shopping experience. But how much do items cost on this website? Let’s take a look at a few examples.
Smartphones and electronics cost anywhere between $10-$100 while computers and their accessories start at $5 all the way to $200. Hobby and recreation items fall within the $20-$300 price range while car accessories and outdoor equipment average $50.
Clothing and fashion accessories are priced at anywhere between $1 and $100. Shoes start at $5 while jewelry and home decor items cost $20 on average.
TomTop Payment Options
You can pay using PayPal any major credit card such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and JCB. They also accept WebMoney, Qiwi and Cash on Delivery on some orders.
TomTop Shipping
It’s always good to know how long your order will take to arrive and how you can track your order. TomTop ships via Airmail, registered mail, EMS and DHL from China. They also have local warehouses in the US, Canada and some parts of Europe.
That said, standard shipping from a local warehouse takes 2-5 business days after a 1-3 day processing time, while shipping from China via the same method takes 7-10 business days. Expedited shipping takes 3-7 business days from local warehouses and takes 10-25 business days.
They say you’ll see the shipping cost on the order details, and tracking information once you’re done shopping. They then go on to say only selected items are eligible for free shipping. You can read more on that here.

TomTop Refund & Return Policy
What if you don’t get what you ordered? Or your item arrived damaged? Well, depending on the situation, here’s what TomTop advises you to do.
All items have a 12 month warranty against manufacturer and handling defects. Other small items like accessories and decor items have a 2 month warranty. You can ship the item back if it arrived damaged or you received the wrong item. They’ll cover return shipping, but you’ll have to get a Return Merchant Authorization (RMA) number within 45 days of receiving the item.
You just have to take a photo of the item and explain what’s wrong with it, then contact customer service with the order number. They’ll then advise you on the next step. You’ll then get a refund once they get the item and verify your case. But they don’t say how long that will take.
They neither exchange nor replace items damaged by you, or if you removed any security or hygiene tags. Flash sale and promo items are also not eligible for returns. You can read all about returns and refunds here.
TomTop Customer Support
You can contact TomTop customer service either by going here or sending an email to wholesale@tomtop.com. That’s about it. They don’t have any other way of contacting them,
TomTop Coupons or Promo Codes
Shopping online is all about taking advantage of deals and discounts, and you can always find TomTop coupons and promo codes in different sources around the web. But be careful not to fall for a scam, not all coupons are legit. However, you don’t have to worry about fake deals at a sites like Rakuten.com which can provide you cashback, rebates, coupons or discounts on similar items you would find on TomTop. TomTop Complaints
This is the part of the review where we lay everything bare so you can decide for yourself whether TomTop is safe. Let’s get into it, shall we?
“Where’s my $hit?”
Several customers say they’ve never received what they ordered from TomTop after months of waiting. Emails to customer service take ages to get a response. This also appears to be the norm with some stores we’ve reviewed before like SammyDress, Dresslily and Zaful.
Refund? Nope, Sorry!
There’s a pattern of complaints suggesting that TomTop doesn’t give refunds for damaged items. They’ll simply dismiss your case and refer you to their Terms and Conditions.
Awful customer service
If you plan to contact TomTop if something goes wrong, prepare to lose money. Apparently their customer service is near non-existent according to some customers. Remember they don’t have direct phone lines, and you can only get through to them via email. Fortunately you don’t have to worry about unreliable customer service when you shop on Amazon.com.
Negative BBB
I know some of ya’ll rely on the Better Business Bureau as the final stamp of approval against shady online companies, and for good reason. Well TomTop has an F rating at the time of this review.
TomTop Alternatives
If anything you read about TomTop rubbed you the wrong way, I wouldn’t blame you if you choose to shop elsewhere. Is TomTop A Fake Site?
TomTop is not a fake site, it’s your normal online store with its strengths and weaknesses. But they’ve been around for a decade and a half so I wouldn’t call them an outright scam. But you may have to wait longer than usual for your order, and the word is customer service is not that great. So when you factor that, some people may view it as a scam. That's for you to decide.
Fortunately there more reliable options out there. You can score amazing deals on the same things you would find on TomTop at sites like Rakuten.com and Amazon.com where you get FREE Guaranteed 1-2 Day Amazon Prime Delivery. Again, there are always more ways to save money while shopping online. You can earn free cash and gift cards doing what you already do online at a site like SwagBucks.com. They are thieves. No contact with support. If you buy a faulty item, you will have a refund problem. And when you return it will not give you money back. Avoid this store.
Warranty issues with Tomtop and really bad customer service
Warranty issues and BAD customer service. The twelve months warranty is a lie. Practically unused gimbal, when started using, went south in about two weeks. Just stopped mid recording, never turns on anymore.
Customer service, Steven, who I think is an algorithm, answers. Asks for video. I send him. He doesn’t answer for a week, then tells me to do this and that. Item still won’t work so I try to apply my warranty rights. It seems tho this Steven cannot comprehend the word.
They offer me 5$ as partial refund. From 66.. I say that’s a joke. We work it up to 15, I keep telling Steven I want vouchers as I need a new gimbal and I’m willing to buy it from Tomtop.
Now we are back to square one. 5$ his offer again. After 15$ yesterday.
Tomtop is a SCAM. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AN AU, an artificial UNintelligence. The item looks great, you can use it few times then it just stops and no money no gadget.

Zero after service. They will lie to you.
The stuff they sell is ok and delivery wasn’t bad bearing in mind it was sent overseas.
However, if anything ever breaks. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU.
Last year I bought a 3D printer from TomTop. It worked fine for about 8 months.
In November the printer started failing. The print bed temperature was fluctuating wildly and the printer software kept crashing citing a thermal runaway.
TomTop spent the next two months getting me to run various tests on the printer, most of which involved opening the thing up and taking voltage readings from various components. I’m pretty sure they were just trying to scare me off.
At the same time I was speaking with Creality (the manufacturer) who were equally useless and getting me to perform pointless tests. Eventually Creality agreed that it was the motherboard that was at fault and that TomTop should replace it.
I relayed this to TomTop who then repeatedly asked me for the serial number of the motherboard. Despite me telling them over and over that there was no serial number on it. I sent them multiple photographs of the motherboard showing the lack of serial number. This carried on back and forth for a few weeks.
They were deliberately obtuse and using the language barrier to evade any questions or to properly respond.
Finally in late December they agreed that they’d send a replacement motherboard.
When the package arrived, it was a 20p thermistor (which incidentally was the first thing I replaced when the printer started playing up) and not the motherboard.
They’re now not replying to my emails.
So now I have a broken printer and I need to buy a new motherboard myself.
TomTop is a dishonest, deceitful and petty company. If you’re buying anything that could possibly require any kind of after service, go somewhere else. They are not worth it.

I have been scammed
People beware. Once they have your money, their “Customer Service” is horrible. They are scammers. My item (Underwater Metal Detector) is defective and they will not take it back for a refund. I will never buy from them again and advise everyone to stay away……..
